Typical job site PPE, such as reflective vests, sturdy boots, and hardhats are recommended when installing ultra-high performance concrete.
Workers involved in the batching process should also wear additional personal protective equipment. UHPC premix is a dry particulate mixture and can be dusty when loading into the mixer. Workers in this area should wear protective coveralls, respirators, goggles, and gloves. This will provide appropriate protection for handling steel fibers and admixtures as well.
Workers handling fresh UHPC should also wear gloves to protect their hands from skin irritation and chemical burns.
